My Old Kentucky Blog had a good run of collected cover versions of cult classic songs (Suspicious Minds, Love Will Tear Us Apart, God Only Knows, etc.), and I think it might be time to give George Michael’s Faith the same treatment.
The Boy Least Likely To’s cover of Faith is peppy and cute, with just enough banjo and handclaps and maybe slightly too much glockenspiel. Even in my completely biased heart, it gives Emily’s version from Get The Squirrel a run for its money.
I don’t often give away even that much spotlight when it comes to my friends’ recordings, especially not recordings that feature one of Galen’s patented slow, dinky guitar solos.
It’s just a really cute song, when you take George Michael out of the picture!
